SELCIAIA

“Selciaia” is the interpretation which Fassati gives to its Rosso di Montepulciano DOC wine. A young wine which gives immediate drinking pleasure, but with an interesting structure as well, showing off its fruitiness both on the nose and on the palate.

WITH FOOD

A wine for the entire meal when marched to important entrées and lighter second courses.

LONGEVITY

To drink within three to five years of the vintage.

BLEND

Largely Sangiovese with small percentages of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

AGING

The six months of aging in oak strengthens the structure without dominating the forceful aromas and flavors of the grape varieties.
