SPIGO

Rosé

At the seashore, high in the mountains, in a historic piazza, or enjoying a lovely landscape – a fresh and fragrant rosé is always excellent company.

PRODUCTION AREA: Montepulciano

GRAPES: 85% Sangiovese; 10% Ciliegiolo; 5% Mammolo

TERRAIN: Clayey and slimy, with traces of limestone

GROWING SYSTEM: Guyot with dug soil

ALTITUDE: 300 – 350 metres

MICROCLIMATE: Mild with cold winters and hot summers, with rains concentrated in autumn and spring

PRODUCTION PROCESS: The bright pink colour comes from a short maceration of the grapes, about 24-36 hours, in contact with the skins. At the end of this first phase, the must is separated from the skins and is vinified using only steel containers to maintain the freshness of the product.

ORGANOLEPTIC PROPERTIES: Colour – bright pink, clear and bright; Bouquet – fresh and floral with hints of violet and lavender; Taste – dry, sapid, very fresh and elegant.

ALCOHOLIC GRADATION: 13% VOL.

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 10 – 12°C.
